Pressure reduction energy of natural gas governor station can be recovered as power through turbo expander and it is very important for national energy competitiveness. The purpose of this study is to find out appropriate type of governor station which is largely classified into two types by customers for applying turbo expander. Two types are governor stations for city gas and power plant. To find out it, simulation studies applying turbo expander were carried out and economic analysis about the result was also carried out. As a result of the study, to apply turbo expander in power plant governor station produced reliably more power than to apply turbo expander in city gas governor station and economics also been shown sufficiently.
